Dear M Afshin,

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write to us correcting the
mistake in yesterday's World Digest page in Metro. The correct reference
should, of course, be the Persian Gulf, not the Arabian Gulf, as you point
out.

The sub-editor who confused the Persian Gulf with the Arabian Sea has been
given a copy of the World Atlas to take home and study, in the hope of
avoiding similar geographical errors!

We hope it did not spoil your enjoyment of Metro and that you will continue to read the paper in future.
