Sample letters with citations
Dear Sir/Madam,
Please be advised that the internationally and historically accepted
correct name for the Body of Water situated south of Iran is PERSIAN
GULF. It is, henceforth, imperative that you would correct what we at
this juncture presume is inadvertent use of other terms (e.g., Arabian
Gulf, The Gulf) on your site/in your correspondences.
Please let us know if we can provide you with any additional information
or be of further assistance on the prompt resolution of the matter.
In the interim, I have pasted hereto certain online sources of information
on the Persian Gulf. I shall await your affirmative action to remove
the aforementioned erroneous nomenclature from your site. I wish you
and others in your Organization all best in your fine and important
scholarly endeavors.

Dear Sir/Madame:
I am writing in reply to your query submitted to my US based Persian
Gulf Task Force Colleague regarding maps of the body of water between
Iran and the Arabian Peninsula.
Upon your continued enthusiasm on the subject, I will be delighted
to providing you with additional specific citations. In the interim
I took the liberty of providing you the followings sites from University
of Texas Library Online as follows:

May I also take the opportunity in drawing your attention to the following
link where an official letter from the British Government emphasizing
their recognition of the correct name of the body of water
between Iran and Saudi Arabia as the "Persian Gulf" is conspicuously
stated. This letter was sent to me by my elected Member of the Parliament
in the UK: http://www.persiangulfonline.org/images/afshin3.gif
I now must, therefore, urge you to correct the mistake on www.hayatt.com
site as a matter of urgency. The correct name of body of water between
Iran and Saudi Arabia is the Persian Gulf. This has been endorsed by
the United Nations among almost all other international agencies and
conventions on many occasions. The last UN Directive endorsing the name
of the Persian Gulf was Directive reference ST/CS/SER.A/29/Add.2 on
August 18th 1994.
If you require any more information then please do not hesitate to
ask me. You can also visit http://www.persiangulfonline.org
for more facts and background on the Persian Gulf matter.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
