TEHERAN, Iran, May 4 (UPI) -- Iran's Interior Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi
says that the Gulf region is no longer safe for the "enemy,"
a clear reference to the United States.
Pour-Mohammadi told journalists in the capital Teheran, "The Persian
Gulf and the Sea of Oman are the hunting ground for the armed forces
of the Islamic Republic of Iran. If any force with any military might
tries to maneuver in this region, it will not be out of range of our
armed forces and weaponry."
"The Persian Gulf is no longer a safe place for our enemies. Our
enemies can not tolerate this situation. Less than three years into
the occupation of Iraq, not only has the Iraqi nation rejected them
but have also said that they will choose a political model that is actually
the (U.S.'s) enemy. They have chosen the same path that the Iranian
people have gone down and have taken the first steps," Iran Focus
quoted him as saying May. 3.
